Benefits of Giving to Y2L
A donation to Y2L can potentially entitle you to a charitable contribution deduction when filing your tax returns. This deduction is applicable when you itemize your deductions.
At Youth 2 Leaders Education Foundation, we know that individuals make contributions to us because they truly believe in the impact that it can make in the lives of Kern County youth. However, we also believe that you should know about the tax benefits you can gain by giving. Below is a brief explanation of one of the benefits of donating to Y2L. However, we encourage you to consult with your tax professional for further information.
As a donor, there is a cost to you and your wallet when you give to an organization. However, if the gift to the organization is deductible, the actual cost of the donation is reduced by your tax savings. For example, if you are in the 25% tax bracket, the actual cost of a $100 donation is only $75 ($100 minus the $25 tax savings). The higher you are on the tax bracket scale, the lower the actual cost of your contribution to the non-profit organization gets. This is a great incentive to anyone, but is especially of interest to those in the higher tax brackets.

Include a letter stating how you would like for your contribution to be used. You can also use our online giving tool to make your contribution. Your gift is tax deductible.
Automatic Giving
Recurring donations are a great way to provide ongoing support to Youth 2 Leaders Education Foundation and those individuals that we serve. Choose to make monthly or quarterly donations and your credit card will be charged automatically.
Give in Honor
Donate to honor a colleague, friend, or family member. You can also donate to recognize an individual or organization doing great work in Kern County. Lastly, you can also give in memory of someone.
Corporate Engagement
A partnership with Youth 2 Leaders Education Foundation allows for your company and employees to engage with and support our youth and their families. We understand that many companies’ values are founded upon engagement in the communities where their employees live and work. We will work with you to create a plan that best suits your needs and ensures maximum exposure for your company.
Employee Involvement
Youth 2 Leaders staff is available to come to your place of business to present what our foundation is all about, and inform your employees about all of the opportunities for them to get involved. These opportunities include serving as workshop volunteers, mentors, donors, and much more!
Event Sponsorship
As a sponsor of a Youth 2 Leaders event, your company will receive the exposure that it truly deserves. Our goal in to ensure that your company’s visibility is at the forefront of our initiatives. Your sponsorship will entitle your company to the following:

- Inclusion in Y2L website, publications, and social media platforms.
- Mention in any media promotional opportunities.
